According to DAD, on 11 March 2010, the Syrian Court of Causation rejected the appeal of the members of the leading committee of the Kurdish Azadi Party:
- Mustafa Jum’ah
- Mohammad Sa’id ‘Omar
- Sa’dun Sheikhu
According to MAD, on 16 March 2010, Salar Mohammed Saeed Chorly was released after six months of detention, and Fawaz Mohadin Hassan is still detained. He was arrested in August 2009 by military security forces.
According to the Media Institute for Western Kurdistan Society, on 17 March 2010, the following people were released:
- Amar Muslim Mustafa and Mahmood Khalil Mustafa (arrested 17 February 2010);
- Bahzad Yusef Hussain and Khalil Ali Khasho (arrested 21 February 2010);
- And teenagers aged 16 and 17 – Qawas Ali Mohammed and Ibrahim Mammo Mahmoud and Abdul Rahman Abdullah (arrested 26 February 2010)
Those still detained are :
- Sheikh Ahmed Hammo (who is asthmatic)
- Mohammed Sheikh Mohammed
- Izz al-Din Sheikhee Mustafa (arrested on 17 January 2009 without a warrant)
Aziz Khalil Mohammed was arrested 17 December 2009, and his whereabouts are unknown. It is thought that he was taken to the hospital in al-Raqqa after he became seriously ill due to the torture he had suffered whilst in detention.
According to MAD, many people have recently been arrested in Qobani and Aleppo but details are difficult to obtain.

Ifraz Mohammed Amin Yusef went before the investigation military judge in Aleppo and was charged under Syrian Articles 267 and 288.
Dulsher Amed Khatib and Fawaz Mohedin were charged under Articles 267 and 288, and were transferred to the criminal military court in Aleppo.
According to MAF and DAD, 17 and 18 March 2010, there was a session for the Bahajad Ibrahim. He was granted an amnesty by legislative decree.

According to MAF and DAD, on 19 March 2010, Farid Jummo was arrested in Afrin whilst he was preparing for Newroz.
According to MAF and DAD, on 20 March 2010, Basaam Abduljalil Shakir from Terbeispier was arrested.
According to MAF and DAD, on 22 March 2010, individual military judge held the trial of Suleiman Osso, member of the leading political committee of the Kurdish Yekiti Party, and adjourned the case to 5 May 2010 for the witnesses to give evidence.
The three detainees had their charges dropped on 22 March 2010, due to the amnesty legislative decree 22 that was issued on 23 February 2010:
- Afrah Mohammed Musa;
- Falak Naz Khalil;
- Mohammed Khalil Khalil.

Nashat Mustafa Hanan was sentenced to six months imprisonment, commuted to five months, based on Article 307 of the Penal Code. http://supportkurds.org/index.php?s=nashat
According to DAD and MAF, on 23 March 2010, the individual military judge sentenced the student Waleed Mohammed Ali Hussein to one year imprisonment and fined him 100 lire based on article 307 of Syrian Code. He had been detained between 7 April 2008 to 11 April 2009, and this time was accepted as served.

According to Media Institute of Western Kurdistan Society, on 23 March people who were arrested on Newroz Eve, 20 March, were released but the student Mustafa Mohammed Osman, aged 20 who was arrested at the celebration, is still in detention.

The number of people detain at the Newroz celebration in al-Raqqa remains unknown
According to MAD, MAF and al-Rased organisations, Qahraman Ali and Nohman Ahmed were arrested on 21 March 2010 and appeared in court on 23 March but were taken back to political security so that their file could be made up.

The military judge transferred Mohammed Khalil and Kaniwar Khalil to the juvenile court. The judge released the driver Mohammed Ahmed Obeid Mahmood.
